The Event Village will be open from 8:00am and the car park from 7:30am.

We recommend you arrive as early as possible, as with many large sporting events there will be traffic coming into the venue. Please plan your journey accordingly!

Please listen closely to all marshal instructions and remember to keep a safe distance from the runners around you as you are guided to the start line.

Please note: you will be set off in waves based on the estimated finish time entered at the checkout. 

As you will be aware our events have been modified to ensure we can adhere to social distancing and the guidelines issued by RunBritain and UK Sport. You can see the full guidance issues by RunBritain online HERE.

Please familiarise yourself with the measures that will be in place at the event HERE.

Thank you for your cooperation with the new regulations in place at the event, these are necessary to ensure a safe environment and mean that we can continue to provide race opportunities.

If you have been in an affected place, been in contact with someone with coronavirus or had any symptoms in the last 14 days please refrain from attending the race. For further guidance please visit the NHS website HERE.

Race Packs 

If you entered before Thursday 15th October, you will receive a race pack in the post. If you entered after, a pack will be waiting for you to collect on the day. If you are expecting a pack in the post and do not receive it by Friday 23rd October, please contact us.

You will not be able to run without a race number and chip.

NO CHIP MEANS NO TIME.

 

When you collect your race packs, please take a couple of minutes to fill out the brief runner Information form which can be found printed on the back of your bib. This will help us greatly in case of an emergency!

Race Start 

The colour of your race number will relate to the wave you are starting in. This has been determined by the estimated finish time given when signing up.

Within the event village you will see the directional signage guiding to the start line. Each start area will be marked out to help prepare you all into your start formations with help from the marshals. When arriving please familiarise yourself with the start area.

Each wave will be called to the starting pen where our marshals will guide you into a start formation with 4 runners, all 2m apart, being started every 10 seconds.

The first runners will cross the line at 10:00am and you can expect each wave to follow shortly afterwards.

Wave 1 – Red Bibs – Sub 40 mins
Wave 2 – Blue Bibs – Sub 46 mins
Wave 3 – Black Bibs – Sub 52 mins
Wave 4 – Yellow Bibs – Sub 60 mins
Wave 5 – Purple Bibs – Sub 66 mins
Wave 6 – Green Bibs – Sub 90 mins


YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CHANGE WAVES.

Toilets

There will be portable toilets available to use. Please ensure social distancing measures are followed when queueing.

Hygiene Stations

There will be multiple hygiene stations around the event village and start/finish area for all participants to use throughout the event. These will have hand sanitiser, wipes, spray, tissue and bins for the disposal of any tissue or litter.

During the race

The course will start and finish within the gardens of Prestwold Hall, and run out and around the grounds of Prestwold Hall including the Airfield and Driving Circuit. Each KM will be accurately measured and marked out and there will be plenty of marshals and signs around the course to make sure you are on the right track and cheer you all the way to the finish!

There will be a water station at the 5k point.

Spitting and nasal clearance during the race is NOT permitted.

Spectators

Please be aware that due to social distancing and restrictions enforced upon us we ask that you do not bring any spectators with you to the event.
Refreshments

There will be a limited amount of water provided at the 5k point of the race. There will also be water available at the finish. In order to avoid congestion on the course, we recommend bringing your own water and staying hydrated in the lead up to the event.

Baggage

There will an informal bag drop within the event village. Please limit the number of belongings you bring to the event and if possible leave anything in a car.  This is in order to reduce contact between runners and staff.

After the race

Do NOT stop within the finish area. Please continue through the finish until you pass the medals and are in an open space.

There will be sealed ACTIPH water bottles at the finish for each runner to collect along with your medal and Kind Snack bar which will be laid out on tables for you to help yourself.

We ask that once you have collected your medal and water to leave the event as soon as possible to avoid groups congregating within the event village.

Results

Results will be available on www.runthrough.co.uk after the race.

Pictures

We will have a photographer taking a few snaps of the race and they will be on Facebook after the race so be sure to check it out and see if you can spot yourself.

We recommend downloading the NHS COVID-19 App onto your phone if you haven’t already before the race. Find out more HERE.

Travel

The postcode for the car park is: LE12 5SH

(If using the App What3Words, use the words admire.hedgehog.solution for the exact car park location.)

If you have a sat nav or mapping device we recommend simply popping the postcode into that and following the instructions given. As you get closer to Prestwold Hall there will be road signs and marshals to direct you into the car park.

Please ensure you are looking out for and following all signage & marshal instruction to get you parked as quickly and safely as possible.

There will be plenty of FREE parking available for all runners  a short 5 minute walk from the event village.
